US manufacturer B&G Foods has sold its Don Pepino and Sclafani sauces and canned tomatoes brands to investor-linked Violet Foods. The deal includes a manufacturing facility in New Jersey. The brands were created in 1950 by the Sclafani family. B&G Foods will use the proceeds to repay debt. The financial terms were not disclosed. The sale is part of B&G Foods’ efforts to reshape its portfolio. The company had previously recorded impairments for other brands. B&G Foods has cut its guidance for fiscal year 2025 after a decline in total net sales in the first quarter.
