Julius Baer appoints Shui Wei HO and Vi Sun YANG as new market heads for South East Asia, effective July 1, 2025. They succeed Chin Lit YEE, who is retiring after nearly 40 years in banking. Both will be based in Singapore, reporting to Jimmy LEE, region head Asia.

HO and YANG, with 30 years of wealth management experience, will lead growth initiatives, enhance client relationships, and guide teams in the region. HO previously led Thailand, Japan, and Asia Switzerland markets. YANG headed Singapore and Indonesia markets at UBS for 14 years before joining Julius Baer.

Julius Baer’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) fined over $4.76m for compliance and anti-money laundering deficiencies related to high-risk clients. The appointment of new South East Asia market heads underscores the company’s commitment to the region and its expansion strategy in Asia.
