Stephen Curry is exploring new career paths, including broadcasting, team ownership, and playing on the PGA Tour Champions post-retirement. The Golden State Warriors star discusses his ambitions in the CNBC Sport special “Curry Inc.: The Business of Stephen Curry,” premiering on June 4. Curry is already CEO of Thirty Ink and plans to take a more central role in running the business. He aspires to become a team owner, following in the footsteps of Michael Jordan. Curry acknowledges that he may not be able to afford majority ownership with rising NBA team valuations. He is also an investor in Unrivaled, a women’s 3-on-3 basketball league, and has expressed interest in owning a Women’s National Basketball Association team. Last year, Curry was named the second-highest paid athlete in the world, earning an estimated $153.8 million. He agreed to a one-year, $62.6 million extension with the Warriors, making history with his salary milestones. Curry has broadcasting aspirations and is considering joining an NBA studio show post-retirement. Additionally, Curry is thinking about playing on the PGA Tour Champions, despite the challenges of breaking into the top tour for former PGA players over 50.
