Walt Disney Co. is laying off several hundred employees worldwide, including in film and television marketing, TV publicity, casting, development, and corporate finance. This follows previous job cuts in March within ABC News Group and Disney Entertainment Networks. Disney has been reducing its workforce in recent years as part of cost-saving strategies. The company had about 233,000 employees as of September.
