British drugmaker GSK plc has started the second tranche of its 2 billion pounds share buyback program, aiming to buy up to 0.45 billion pounds in shares. The Second Tranche will run from June 4 to September 19. The first tranche of up to 0.7 billion pounds was completed on June 3. The overall 2 billion pounds Program will be implemented until the end of the second quarter of fiscal 2026. GSK has a deal with Merrill Lynch International to buy back shares, with the goal of returning excess capital to shareholders and enhancing earnings per share.
