Volaris reports increase in ASM capacity and RPMs, along with decrease in load factor

Volaris, the ultra-low-cost carrier, reported its May 2025 preliminary traffic results. In May, ASM capacity increased by 9.0% year-over-year, while RPMs grew by 3.5%. Mexican domestic RPMs increased by 5.7%, while international RPMs remained flat. The load factor decreased by 4.3 percentage points to 81.8%. Volaris transported 2.5 million passengers during the month. The CEO stated that the capacity growth aligns with adjustments made to better match customer demand and maximize unit revenue performance. The company remains aligned with guidance for the quarter and sees encouraging booking trends for the summer high season.
