APS, a Pan-European fund manager, made history by becoming the first institutional investor to acquire tokenized real estate assets through MetaWealth’s blockchain-based platform. They purchased 3 million euros in tokenized bonds tied to two Italian properties. The process adds transparency and efficiency to investing, with each tranche split evenly at 1.5 million euros.

MetaWealth, founded in 2023, tokenizes Pan-European real estate, enabling fractional ownership and quick transfers of real estate tokens. The platform has facilitated over $50 million in tokenized transactions across Romania, Spain, Greece, and Italy. Each token represents fractional ownership, allowing both institutional and retail investors to trade real estate stakes in seconds.

Tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) is gaining momentum, with major players from traditional finance and crypto industries embracing it. BlackRock filed for a blockchain-based share class for its $150 billion Treasury Trust Fund, while Libre plans to tokenize $500 million in Telegram debt. MultiBank Group also inked a $3 billion tokenization deal with UAE real estate firm MAG and blockchain provider Mavryk.
