Honeywell International Inc. announced a technology alliance with Johnson Matthey, GIDARA Energy, and SAMSUNG E&A to produce sustainable aviation fuel from biomass and municipal solid waste. The collaboration aims to streamline the SAF value chain and launch a unified technology solution based on the Fischer-Tropsch process.

This joint approach will reduce project timelines by 15% and capital expenditures by up to 10%. The alliance offers customers a single point of accountability and integrates expertise in gasification, catalyst technologies, process technology, and project execution management to meet the rising demand for SAF worldwide.

Honeywell’s acquisition of Johnson Matthey’s Catalyst Technologies division for 1.8 billion pounds ($2.4 billion) deepens its renewable fuels push. The purchase price represents approximately 11 times the projected 2025 EBITDA, factoring in tax advantages and cost synergies.
