Dollar to decline further on U.S. fiscal, growth and trade risks: Reuters poll

FX strategists predict a lower U.S. dollar due to falling demand, rising deficit, and tariff concerns. Long-term bond yields have surged, leading to a 10% drop in the dollar. 90% of FX strategists expect a decline in demand for dollar-denominated assets. Euro forecasts are upgraded as analysts express concern over the dollar’s ‘safe haven’ status. Euro-dollar median forecasts are the highest since November 2021. Interest rate differentials may favor the euro over the dollar. Despite trade war concerns, Europe is expected to benefit the most from sustained dollar outflows. Rising U.S. inflation expectations have limited the Fed’s actions, with markets still expecting two more cuts this year. The ECB is anticipated to cut rates this week.
