In early trading, Tesla’s shares surged 5.0% on Friday, making it the top performer on the Nasdaq 100 index. However, year to date, Tesla has lost 26.0% of its value. On the flip side, lululemon athletica saw a 17.7% drop, marking it as the worst performer of the day and down 28.8% year to date.

Other movers on the Nasdaq 100 index include MercadoLibre, down 5.9%, and Palantir Technologies, up 4.4% for the day. These companies are also making waves in the market.
