Italian furnishings and contract group Dexelance opens a hub in Shanghai to expand in China despite economic challenges. CEO Andrea Sasso notes China represented 4% of turnover in 2024. The company owns upscale furniture brands like Meridiani and lighting firm Davide Groppi. Vincy Ho appointed CEO of Dexelance China.
Dexelance, previously Italian Design Brands, bought majority shares in Turri and increased stake in Axolight. The new Shanghai office aims to strengthen the group’s presence in China to become a global design benchmark. Display areas for Gervasoni, Meridiani, Davide Groppi, and more will be hosted in the new space.
Dexelance, the first Italian design firm to list shares on the Milan Stock Exchange, reported 2024 revenues up 4.3% to 324 million euros. The company signed a letter of intent with outdoor furniture specialist Roda Group and is eyeing acquisitions. Managing director Giorgio Gobbi mentioned talks with potential acquisitions in February.
