HSBC AM forays into active ETF market with five funds

HSBC Asset Management launches HSBC PLUS Active ETF range, introducing five new funds to the active ETF market. These funds offer country and regional exposures, aiming for outperforming returns through a quantitative-driven investment approach leveraging HSBC AM’s capabilities.

The range includes USA Equity, World Equity, Emerging Markets Equity, World Equity Income, and Emerging Markets Equity Income Quant Active UCITS ETFs. The core funds focus on maximizing exposure to top-ranked stocks based on factors while minimizing portfolio risk, while the income range seeks equity securities with attractive income and quality characteristics.

Available to retail, wholesale, and institutional investors in select European countries, the funds will be listed on major stock exchanges. HSBC AM aims to provide additional alpha beyond passive exposures in a cost-efficient manner, ensuring resilience across diverse market cycles.

Global head Olga de Tapia highlights the growth of the active ETF market and the company’s commitment to bringing innovative investment tools to investors.
