Africa Specialty Risks launches automated underwriting portal for brokers, expanding offerings and capabilities

Africa Specialty Risks (ASR) launches ASR 24-7, a new automated underwriting portal for brokers. The platform offers instant policy quotes, full binding capabilities, and policy management resources. It integrates seamlessly with ASR’s underwriting function and currently accepts renewable energy and D&O liability risks.

Brokers can access ASR 24-7 on mobile and desktop devices, enabling remote task management. ASR plans to expand the platform to include property, political violence, terrorism, and additional energy lines. Founder and CEO Mikir Shah emphasizes the portal’s role in broadening partnerships and increasing economic development by fulfilling insurance needs.

ASR recently entered into binding authority agreements with Sava Re, providing a line size of up to $10m for core classes. The reinsurer operates in Bermuda, Mauritius, and through Syndicate 2454 at Lloyd’s. ASR continues to expand its offerings and capabilities to support brokers, partners, and clients.
