Paramount Global will lay off 3.5% of its domestic workforce, citing a decline in linear TV and streaming business investments. The layoffs affect several hundred jobs, with affected departments undisclosed. This move follows the resignation of the chief financial officer, part of a larger trend of downsizing in Hollywood studios.

Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery have also announced layoffs recently, with Disney cutting several hundred employees in film, TV marketing, casting, and financial operations. Warner Bros. Discovery laid off several dozen employees from its cable TV channels and will split into two separate firms, one focused on film and TV production, the other on cable networks.
