NVIDIA Brings Physical AI to European Cities With New Blueprint for Smart City AI
From NVIDIA: 2025-06-11 07:00:00
Urban populations are set to double by 2050, driving the need for sustainable urban planning. Cities are turning to digital twins and AI agents for analysis and decisions. NVIDIA introduces Omniverse Blueprint for smart city AI to create simulation-ready digital twins and deploy AI agents. Leading companies like XXII and Bentley are among the first to use the blueprint.
The blueprint workflow includes creating SimReady digital twins with Omniverse, training AI models with TAO and NeMo Curator, and deploying real-time AI agents with Metropolis VSS. The ecosystem of partners can build and activate digital twins for smart city use cases. SNCF Gares&Connexions has achieved a 100% on-time preventive maintenance completion rate using the blueprint.
Palermo is using AI agents and digital twins to improve public health and safety, while K2K is predicting and resolving traffic incidents with synthetic data and VLMs. Milestone Systems launches Project Hafnia for European-compliant training of video-centric AI models. Linker Vision deploys smart city digital twins and AI agents for Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
Bentley Systems and Trimble are integrating components of the Omniverse blueprint for physical AI in cities. Younite AI is adopting the blueprint to accelerate urban simulations and deploy AI agents.
