NXP Semiconductors collaborates with Rimac Technology to advance centralized architectures for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). The jointly developed ECU platform features NXP’s S32E2 processors, consolidating over 20 ECUs into just three centralized units. This platform allows for the integration of various vehicle applications, providing OEMs with advanced domain and zonal control capabilities. The S32E2 processors offer high-performance deterministic real-time control, enabling efficient application integration while ensuring safety and security compliance. Rimac Technology plans to deploy this new platform in hyper car programs, with future scalability across different vehicle segments and mobility sectors.
