Rates have been within a narrow range for the past few months, according to Freddie Mac’s Chief Economist, Sam Khater. Last week, the 30-year FRM averaged 6.85% and the 15-year FRM averaged 5.99%. A year ago, the rates were higher at 6.95% and 6.17% respectively.
