Indian stock indices plummeted due to geopolitical tensions and oil supply fears

Indian shares plunged on Friday due to tariff uncertainties and geopolitical tensions. The U.S-China agreement details are unclear, with disagreements still present. Brent crude prices spiked 9% as Israel launched an airstrike on Iran, causing fears of oil supply disruption. Iran confirmed casualties and promised retaliation. The S&P/BSE Sensex dropped 920 points, or 1.1%, while the NSE Nifty fell 289 points, or 1.2%. Tata Motors, Reliance Industries, SBI, UltraTech Cement, Titan Company, Power Grid Corp, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Adani Ports all saw around 2% declines in early trading.
