Scatec ASA has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company for a 900 MW wind project in Egypt. The project, located in Ras Shukeir, aims to accelerate the country’s transition to a greener energy mix. Scatec CEO Terje Pilskog praised the company’s position as a leading renewables provider in Egypt. The PPA signing will be followed by wind measurements on site, with construction expected to start in the first half of 2026. Scatec is a global renewable energy solutions provider with 6.2 GW in operation and under construction across five continents.
