Santos receives final acquisition proposal from XRG consortium at 28% premium

Santos Limited has received a final non-binding indicative proposal from a consortium led by XRG P.J.S.C. to acquire all outstanding ordinary shares for US$5.76 or A$8.89 per share, a 28% premium. Previous proposals were at US$5.04 or A$8.00 and US$5.42 or A$8.60 per share. The Santos Board will provide access to confidential information for confirmatory due diligence. The board intends to recommend that shareholders vote in favor of the potential transaction, pending confirmation from an independent expert that the deal is fair and reasonable.
