Japanese investment firm Metaplanet has purchased 1,112 Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 10,000 BTC, surpassing Coinbase. The average price per Bitcoin is $96,400. Metaplanet also issued $210 million in bonds to buy more Bitcoin and plans to hold 210,000 BTC by 2027. The stock price surged over 22% on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Despite a recent Bitcoin crash, institutional demand remains strong. Strategy co-founder Michael Saylor plans to buy more BTC, and Bitcoin ETFs saw $1.3 billion in inflows last week. Bitwise Asset Management CEO predicts Bitcoin could surpass the $30 trillion treasuries market. Metaplanet’s aggressive Bitcoin strategy has boosted its stock price over 417% year-to-date.
