Nasdaq, Inc.: Lapsus$ hacker who targeted Uber and Grand Theft Auto maker indefinitely detained

From Nasdaq, Inc.:

Arion Kurtaj, a member of the Lapsus$ hacking group, was sentenced to indefinite hospital detention for hacking Uber, Revolut, and threatening to release the source code for the next “Grand Theft Auto” game. It was found that Kurtaj, who has autism, was not fit to stand trial, so the jury was asked to determine whether he had committed the acts rather than deliver a guilty verdict. Another 17-year-old member of the group was sentenced to a youth rehabilitation order. The case highlights the dangers that young people can be drawn to while online, according to Detective Chief Superintendent Amanda Horsburgh.
