Almadex Minerals begins drilling at Paradise Project in Nevada, targeting gold and porphyry potential

From GlobeNewswire: 2025-06-17 15:17:00

Almadex Minerals Ltd. has started diamond drilling operations at its Paradise Project in Nevada, targeting near-surface gold potential and deep porphyry potential. The program plans 3 to 4 holes to test targets defined by past work, including mapping, soils, and drilling in 2024. The site has potential for high sulphidation gold, porphyry related mineralization, and gold-silver in epithermal veins.

Chairman J Duane Poliquin expressed excitement about the potential core of the large alteration system being drill tested in the 2025 program. Lithocaps are extensive altered rock areas above or adjacent to porphyry deposits. The Paradise property, covering a 4.5 by 1.8 km area, exhibits intense hydrothermal alteration typical of high-sulphidation environments above porphyry systems, with well-preserved lithocap alteration zones.

Mapping of alteration minerals and geochemical analysis using soil and rock samples can help identify potential underlying porphyry systems. Qualified Person Morgan J Poliquin reviewed the scientific and technical details, with analyses conducted at ALS Chemex Laboratories. Geophysical surveys using in-house equipment and third-party contractors provide valuable data for exploration, but results are still being interpreted.

Almadex Minerals Ltd. is an exploration company with a large mineral portfolio in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, resulting from years of prospecting and deal-making. The company’s management team owns several portable diamond drill rigs, enabling cost-effective exploration drilling in-house. Forward-looking statements in the news release highlight potential exploration work at the Paradise project.
