SkyWest, Inc. has agreed to purchase and operate 16 new E175 aircraft from Embraer S.A. for Delta Air Lines, with deliveries starting in 2027. They have also secured delivery slots for an additional 44 E175s between 2028 and 2032. These new planes will replace 11 CRJ900s and 5 CRJ700s currently in service with Delta. SkyWest’s stock closed 1.51% lower at $96.43 on the Nasdaq, while Embraer’s pre-market trading shows no change at $51.08 on the NYSE.
