Artificial intelligence subcategory undergoing golden age: Dan Ives
From CNBC: 2025-06-18 08:43:00
Wedbush Securities’ Dan Ives launched an AI ETF, focusing on software as a key subcategory in the industry. He believes software will drive many use cases in the AI landscape, with Oracle predicted to be a key player. The ETF, trading under IVES, includes companies like Palantir and IBM.
The IVES ETF comprises 30 companies across various sectors, emphasizing major AI players. Top holdings include Microsoft, Nvidia, and Broadcom, with smaller tech names also included. Since its June 4 launch, the ETF has gained almost 3% and has $183 million in assets under management.
Ives plans to evaluate the AI 30 every quarter, adding new names as they become more prominent in the AI space. Despite the rapid growth in tech stocks, Ives believes the sector is still a worthwhile investment for those who may have missed out in recent years.
