Nvidia will make its first-ever appearance at the China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing from July 16 to July 20, alongside over 230 local and foreign companies. The stock has risen more than 60% from its year-to-date low in April, reflecting the company’s commitment to the Chinese market.
The expo may not lead to major deals, but it will enhance Nvidia’s visibility in a key market. China contributed nearly 17% of the chipmaker’s revenue in 2024, emphasizing the country’s importance for long-term growth. Despite being down 5.8% from its all-time high, Nvidia shares remain strong.
Oppenheimer maintains a positive outlook on Nvidia, recommending investors to own the stock due to increasing demand for sovereign AI. The firm has set a $175 price target, citing a potential $1.5 trillion global market for sovereign artificial intelligence. Recent strategic partnerships have also bolstered investor confidence.
Wall Street firms echo Oppenheimer’s bullish sentiment on Nvidia, with a “Strong Buy” consensus rating and a mean target of $174, indicating over 20% potential upside. These factors highlight the positive outlook for Nvidia’s future growth and market performance.
