The micromobility industry is evolving, with startups focusing on sustainability and business models. Companies at Micromobility Europe are filling industry gaps with fleet management, parking, and charging solutions while others design new vehicles. Convoy, a U.K.-based startup, offers a clip-on cargo conversion kit for bikes and e-bikes that can carry two children. Meanwhile, Azora Charge in Germany is building solar-powered charging and parking stations for e-bikes. Fleetser is a European marketplace for shared electric bikes and scooters, offering refurbishment and supply chain help to new and established operators. Switch, an Italian startup, is using AI and simulation for fleet planning and management in cities and with Lime. Switch, a startup founded in 2020, has raised nearly $1 million for its innovative products: Urbiverse for synthetic data and simulations, and Urban Copilot for demand forecasting and fleet optimization. The company’s AI agent can access various tools for seamless integration. Zapp, a super app from Bosnia and Herzegovina, offers multiple services like food delivery and taxi. J2R’s electric motorcycle, Smol, boasts a futuristic design and is priced at €9,450. Trace Mobility, founded by Tobias Meurer, provides business intelligence services for shared micromobility operators, helping them track key metrics and improve profitability.
