Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is expanding its presence in Europe with three new facilities to enhance software-defined vehicles (SDV) offerings. The company has set up two automotive delivery centres in Germany and an engineering facility in Romania to support international automotive clients in advancing mobility solutions.
The German delivery centres will help car manufacturers implement TCS’ software-focused services for autonomous driving, infotainment, safety systems, and connected vehicle technologies. The Romanian engineering centre will focus on developing advanced automotive software platforms for innovation and early-stage development, supporting the entire product lifecycle.
TCS aims to strengthen its automotive software capabilities by employing over 100 professionals at the new centres. These professionals will collaborate with more than 2,000 SDV engineers globally to create advanced automotive platforms for digital cockpits, infotainment, and driver assistance systems.
With these new centres, TCS is positioning itself at the forefront of automotive innovation, delivering cutting-edge solutions in autonomous driving and advanced cockpit systems. This expansion aligns with the automotive industry’s shift towards software-driven, connected, and autonomous mobility solutions.
TCS’ manufacturing and business group head highlighted the significance of the shift to software-defined vehicles in the automotive industry. The company’s commitment to supporting OEMs in building intelligent, connected, and sustainable vehicles is reinforced by the establishment of these new centres.
In addition to its focus on SDV development, TCS recently formed a long-term partnership with Danish retailer Salling Group to lead its digital transformation and AI-driven cloud migration. This strategic collaboration will impact Salling Group’s stores, brands, and employees across multiple countries.
TCS’ new European hubs bolster its capabilities in the software-defined vehicles sector, positioning the company as a leader in automotive innovation. The strategic expansion aligns with the global shift towards software-driven, connected, and autonomous mobility solutions.
