Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has opened three new hubs in Europe to strengthen its presence in the software-defined vehicles (SDV) sector. The delivery centres in Germany will focus on developing software-driven services for autonomous driving and connected vehicle technologies, while the engineering centre in Romania will work on advanced automotive software platforms.

This move is part of TCS’ strategy to enhance its automotive software capabilities, including chip-to-cloud technologies. The new hubs will allow TCS to collaborate closely with European OEMs and global automotive companies, offering nearshore capabilities. This expansion reaffirms TCS’ commitment to leading innovation in the SDV space.

The new centres currently employ over 100 skilled professionals who will join forces with more than 2,000 SDV Engineers across TCS’ global locations. This talent pool will contribute to the development of next-generation automotive platforms, supporting the entire product lifecycle from concept through to production and ongoing support.

TCS has a long history of serving European automotive customers with innovative solutions in digital cockpits, autonomous vehicles, and connected car ecosystems. The company leverages Generative AI to accelerate product development, enabling quicker innovation and greater personalization in SDVs. The launch of these new hubs deepens TCS’ commitment to supporting OEMs in building intelligent, connected, and sustainable vehicles.
