Bay Street expected to open lower due to global tensions and decline in commodity futures

Canadian stock Index may open lower on Tuesday after finishing high on Monday. Despite a ceasefire announcement, Israel allegedly violated the agreement by striking a radar in Iran, leading U.S. President to express dissatisfaction with both countries. Gold Futures are down 1.87 percent, Silver futures declining 0.83 percent, and Crude Oil futures sliding 4.25 percent. The U.S. dollar weakened against major currencies, and Continental’s Automotive group sector announced objectives and strategy. Fed Reserve Chair Powell stated the central bank is likely to remain on hold to gather more information on the economy and inflation expectations. Economic data and Fed speeches are scheduled for the day.
