European stocks mixed, miners down on China concerns, tech up on SAP and Logitech earnings

European stocks traded mixed on Tuesday with miners declining on China demand concerns, while the technology sector saw gains from robust earnings by SAP and Logitech. The STOXX 600 was up 0.2 percent, the German DAX climbed 0.6 percent, while France’s CAC 40 and the U.K.’s FTSE 100 were down about 0.1 percent each. Miners like Anglo American and Glencore dropped 1-2 percent, while water firm Pennon Group and United Utilities slipped after compliance checks were announced. Caterer Compass saw a more than 5 percent jump after upgrading profit guidance. Hikma Pharma dropped 1.2 percent due to a recall, while Logitech International rallied 2.3 percent. SAP surged 6.5 percent, Porsche AG slumped 4.2 percent, and Alfa Laval AB gained 1 percent. Thales plunged 4.7 percent despite slightly better-than-expected earnings.
