Glacier Bancorp acquiring Guaranty Bancshares in $476m deal, expanding presence in Southwest

Glacier Bancorp is acquiring Guaranty Bancshares, expanding its presence in the Southwest. The $476m all-stock deal includes Guaranty Bank & Trust’s 33 locations in Texas. Assets, loans, and deposits of Guaranty are valued at $3.2bn, $2.1bn, and $2.7bn respectively. The transaction, pending regulatory and shareholder approvals, will make Guaranty a new division of Glacier Bank. CEO Randy Chesler sees strategic and cultural alignment, while Guaranty’s CEO Ty Abston anticipates enhanced customer service with new resources and technologies.
