In midday trading on Friday, Energy companies are underperforming, with a 0.5% loss. Schlumberger Ltd (SLB) and EQT Corp (EQT) are leading the losses, down 3.9% and 2.3%, respectively. The Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) is down 0.4% and up 10.23% year-to-date. Technology & Communications sector is also struggling, with Gen Digital Inc (GEN) and Dell Technologies Inc (DELL) showing losses of 2.7% and 2.5%. The Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) is up 0.3% and 20.54% year-to-date. In afternoon trading, seven sectors are up, while Energy is down 0.5%.
