Real-world asset (RWA) tokenization on the Aptos blockchain has reached $542.3 million, growing by 57.1% in the past 30 days. Aptos is now among the top three blockchains for RWA deployment, behind Ethereum and ZKsync Era. Major issuers on Aptos include Berkeley Square, BlackRock’s BUIDL, and Franklin Templeton’s BENJI token.
Ethereum remains the leading blockchain for RWA deployments with nearly $7.6 billion in total value. However, its growth has slowed in recent months, with only a 5.4% increase in the past 30 days. Ethereum accounts for 59% of the total market share as of June, according to RedStone’s latest report.
The US state of Wyoming has shortlisted the Aptos blockchain for its stablecoin pilot program. Aptos received the highest technical score among more than 10 blockchains evaluated for the Wyoming Stable Token project. The initiative aims to launch a dollar-backed stablecoin that will position Wyoming at the forefront of blockchain innovation.
The Wyoming stablecoin project, WYST, is set to become the state’s official stablecoin once deployed. Backers of the stablecoin project believe it will create potential revenue streams by earning interest on the US Treasury bonds backing the token. Aptos Labs’ head of capital markets, Solomon Tesfaye, highlighted that Wyoming sees Aptos as a top candidate for its blockchain project based on various criteria.
