PayPal partners with Big Ten and Big 12 Conferences to distribute institutional payments directly to student-athletes under a new revenue-sharing model. The Big 12’s agreement with PayPal is worth ~$100 million over 5 years. Student-athletes will start receiving payments via PayPal in July 2025, with a rollout beginning in summer.
