IFRS Foundation Trustees appoints three new members to Interpretations Committee

The IFRS Foundation Trustees have appointed Gary Berchowitz, Claire Dusser, and Usman Hamid as new members of the IFRS Interpretations Committee for three-year terms starting July 1, 2025. They replace Lisa Bomba, Jens Freiberg, and Karsten Ganssauge. The committee works with the IASB to ensure consistent application of IFRS Accounting Standards.
Berchowitz, a partner at PwC, specializes in financial reporting for non-financial companies, bringing over 20 years of experience applying IFRS Accounting Standards globally. Dusser, a partner at Forvis Mazars, offers expertise in financial reporting and auditing, managing IFRS specialists. Hamid, from Saudi Aramco, oversees technical accounting, sustainability, and financial reporting controls.
The IFRS Foundation sets global standards for financial reporting, aiming to improve communication between companies and investors. The new committee members will contribute to developing high-quality IFRS Standards that enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in capital markets worldwide.
