US supermarket chain Giant Eagle has sold its GetGo convenience store chain to Alimentation Couche-Tard to focus on expanding its primary operations. The sale includes 270 GetGo and WetGo locations, ensuring continuity of the myPerks loyalty program for customers at both Giant Eagle and GetGo stores. Giant Eagle’s president expressed excitement for the future of the company post-sale.

The sale of GetGo was facilitated by financial advisors Matrix Capital Markets Group and Centerview Partners, with legal counsel provided by Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Troutman Pepper Locke. Winthrop & Weinstine served as the primary legal advisor for the sale of Giant Eagle’s wholesale fuel business. In June 2025, Giant Eagle integrated Manhattan Associates’ warehouse management system to enhance its logistics network.
