The English Premier League partners with Microsoft to bring artificial intelligence to soccer, integrating Copilot AI into the league app. Fans will have access to over 300,000 articles, 9,000 videos, and historical statistics. The partnership aims to enhance the digital Fantasy Premier League offerings and engage fans in new ways.

The agreement will also introduce future technology to translate text and audio into the user’s native language. Microsoft will leverage its cloud and AI technologies to transform football experiences on and off the field. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but it marks a significant step for both organizations.

English Premier League CEO Richard Masters expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the potential for personalized content and real-time match insights. Microsoft’s executive vice president Judson Althoff emphasized the use of secure cloud and AI technologies to enhance football experiences globally. The partnership also designates Microsoft as the league’s cloud computing partner.

The English Premier League, known as the most prestigious soccer organization globally, attracts a massive audience with matches aired in 189 countries and reaching 900 million homes. The upcoming season begins on August 15, but fans can enjoy the Premier League Summer Series in the U.S. from July 26 to August 3, featuring exhibition matches at MetLife Stadium near New York City.
