Lululemon Athletica Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Costco Wholesale Corp. for selling knockoff versions of its products at a cheaper price. The lawsuit alleges that Costco has infringed on Lululemon’s intellectual property and harmed its reputation. Despite sending cease and desist letters, Costco continued to sell these knockoff products. In the past, Lululemon had sued Peloton for similar reasons. This legal action comes after Lululemon reported weak first-quarter earnings, causing a significant drop in its shares. Lululemon’s CEO remains optimistic about the company’s growth opportunities despite challenges in the market.
