Bitcoin Cash (BCH) surged over 5% in the past 24 hours, reaching $516 with trading volume tripling as over 120,000 BCH changed hands, peaking at $528. However, on-chain fundamentals show a demand deficit, indicating the rally may be driven by speculation rather than network usage or adoption.
In the last 24 hours, BCH saw a 5.8% gain, climbing from $491.25 to $519.65, with a price range of $37.80 and hitting a peak of $527.37 with strong volume support. Key resistance at $527 and support at $519-$520 imply continued bullish momentum.
Over 120,000 BCH were traded at triple the average volume, showing strong buyer interest. In the last hour, BCH initially climbed 0.55% to $522.55 before dropping 0.71% to close at $518.85. The BCH/BTC pair rose nearly 20% in four weeks, hitting a six-month high of 0.0049.
BCH’s outperformance is evident in the bullish golden crossover of the 50-day SMA crossing above the 200-day SMA, indicating short-term momentum surpassing the broader trend, potentially leading to a significant bull market.
