Soybean futures rise following previous rally, new trade deal with Vietnam

Soybean futures are up 7 to 11 cents, following a rally of 20 to 26 cents on Wednesday. Cash bean price is at $10.12 1/2, with soybean meal and soy oil also seeing gains. No deliveries were issued overnight. Analysts expect solid old crop bean bookings and new crop sales between 0 and 300,000 MT.
President Trump announced a new trade deal with Vietnam, highlighting the country’s lack of tariffs on US goods. Vietnam accounts for a significant portion of US soybean meal and bean exports. The 7-day QPF from NOAA predicts rains in certain regions, with the ECB expecting lighter totals.
Jul 25 soybeans closed at $10.50 1/2, up 25 3/4 cents, while nearby cash was $10.12 1/2, up 23 3/4 cents. Aug 25 soybeans closed at $10.53 1/2, up 23 3/4 cents, with Nov 25 soybeans at $10.48, up 20 3/4 cents. New Crop Cash was $10.00. Trading will be closed on Friday for Independence Day.
