DeFi protocol Ondo Finance and Pantera Capital plan to invest $250 million in real-world assets through a new fund called Ondo Catalyst. The tokenization market is seeing increased activity, with Robinhood launching blockchain stock trading in Europe and Kraken offering tokenized US stocks to international clients.

Ondo Finance is backed by Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund and has launched Ondo Global Markets to bring traditional financial markets onto the blockchain. The tokenized RWA market has grown by 380% since 2022, reaching $24 billion as of June, excluding stablecoins which are collectively valued at over $250 billion.

US SEC Chair Paul Atkins is focusing on advancing innovation in the marketplace, pledging to create pathways for tokenization innovation. A recent industry report found that private credit and US government debt are the main growth drivers for tokenized RWAs, which have seen significant growth in recent years.
