GE Aerospace signs service deal with China Airlines to maintain GE9X engines

GE Aerospace has signed a multi-year service agreement with China Airlines to maintain GE9X engines on the airline’s 14 new Boeing 777X aircraft. China Airlines has been a GE customer since 1999 and previously used GE engines on its B777-300ER and B787 fleet. The GE9X engine is the world’s most powerful and fuel-efficient commercial engine, offering 10% better fuel consumption than its predecessor. It can also operate on Sustainable Aviation Fuel blends. Russell Stokes, President and CEO of Commercial Engines and Services at GE Aerospace, expressed gratitude for China Airlines’ trust in their products and services.
