AB Science completes successful EUR 1.925 million private placement for ongoing activities

AB Science successfully completed a EUR 1.925 million private placement, with funds earmarked for ongoing activities and the AB8939 program. The private placement involved the issuance of 1,645,302 new ordinary shares with attached share warrants. The issue price of one share warrant was EUR 1.17, representing a discount of 24.36% to the average share price over the preceding three days. Each share warrant entitles the holder to subscribe to a new ordinary share at EUR 1.78 per share, with the potential for additional proceeds of approximately EUR 2.93 million if all warrants are exercised within 60 months. The private placement is not subject to a prospectus and the new shares are expected to be admitted to trading on Euronext Paris on July 10, 2025. Lock-up commitments have been made by the company and its officers.

AB Science’s novel tyrosine kinase inhibitor, masitinib, is being developed to target mast cells and macrophages in a range of diseases. The company also introduced AB8939, a synthetic microtubule-destabilizing drug candidate with broad anticancer activity. Founded in 2001, AB Science focuses on developing protein kinase inhibitors for diseases with high unmet medical needs. The company’s lead compound, masitinib, is already approved for veterinary use and is in development for human medicine in various therapeutic areas. The company’s new shares will be listed on Euronext Paris, with lock-up commitments in place for investors and officers.
