Wrisk Raises £12m in Series B Funding to Expand Embedded Insurance Platform, Attract Global Partners

UK-based insurtech company Wrisk secures £12m in Series B funding from Mundi Ventures, Opera Tech Ventures, and BNP Paribas, with existing investors QBN and Volution participating. The funding will support expansion and strategic vision.

Wrisk’s platform offers data-driven insurance experiences for automotive brands, covering quoting, binding, renewals, and claims in a digital journey. CEO Nimeshh Patel highlights the focus on user experience and attracting global partners, with Mundi Ventures and Opera Tech Ventures joining the board to align with strategic ambitions.

The company’s technology is utilized by car manufacturers like BMW, MINI, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz. Wrisk is now concentrating on expanding in Europe, establishing a commercial team in Munich, and obtaining regulatory licenses for European markets to enhance partnerships and client acquisition.

Wrisk integrates real-time data from various sources using its proprietary embedded data framework for automotive OEMs. Future plans involve enhancing data collaboration to improve portfolio performance and offer more personalized customer experiences with OEMs, finance companies, and insurance partners.

The funding aims to accelerate UK and European growth, enhance data capabilities, and transform how insurers and automotive brands connect with customers. Wrisk is focused on expanding operations and strengthening partnerships to deliver innovative embedded insurance solutions across Europe.
