Birks Group Expands Luxury Portfolio with Acquisition of European Boutique

Canadian company Birks Group has purchased European Boutique’s luxury watch and jewellery business for C$9m. European Boutique operates four luxury stores in Toronto and manages mono-brand boutiques for top brands. Birks Group secured a licensing agreement for Diamonds Direct and obtained a $13.5m loan for the acquisition. They plan to explore further transactions for additional capital. Birks Group CEO is excited about the acquisition and looks forward to working with the European team.
