Proposed EU-US Export Deal: Impact on Auto Industry Revealed

Brussels is considering a trade deal to allow European automakers exporting from the U.S. to import vehicles from the EU at reduced tariffs. The EU exported 758,000 cars worth 38.9 billion euros to the U.S. in 2024. BMW and Mercedes-Benz would benefit, while Volkswagen and Porsche would not. Stellantis and Volvo Cars would also be affected differently.
