Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has launched an investigation into Robinhood Crypto, alleging the platform misled customers by claiming to be the cheapest way to buy cryptocurrencies. The AG’s office issued a subpoena to Robinhood Markets for internal documents to probe possible violations of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. Robinhood allows users to trade stocks and cryptocurrencies without direct commissions, making money through payment for order flow. Robinhood must respond to the subpoena by July 31.
