Fortune: 6 ways to board sooner with the new United Airlines boarding process

From Fortune:

United Airlines has revamped its boarding process with a new strategy to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. The airline has rolled out seven distinct boarding groups, with pre-boarding available for customers with disabilities, active military members, and families with young children, among others. Economy passengers are now boarded according to their seat location, with window seat passengers boarding first, followed by middle seats and aisle seats, as part of an effort to shave two minutes off the boarding process.

Passengers can qualify for Priority Boarding by purchasing it for $15 per person, holding an eligible United Airlines credit card, or earning Silver Elite status through various methods such as flying United or achieving Marriott Titanium status. Additionally, booking a window seat, purchasing Premier Access, or flying in a premium cabin are other ways to secure an improved boarding position. These changes reflect the ongoing efforts of airlines to optimize the boarding process and enhance the travel experience for their customers.
