The S&P 500 closed just below an all-time high on Wednesday, reflecting the current market optimism following a challenging 2022.

The benchmark index rose by 0.1%, leaving it 0.3% short of its January 2022 record close. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite also increased by 0.2%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced a 0.3% rise, marking its sixth record high in December.
